Themes:
-- Definitions and characteristics of paradoxes;
-- Varieties and classifications of paradoxes;
-- Analysis of some kind of paradoxes or of a particular paradox;
-- Solution to some kind of paradoxes or to a particular paradox;
-- Relevance of paradoxes with theories of truth and related issues;
-- Review of studies on paradoxes in academic history, whether long-term or short-term, Western or Chinese;
-- Significance of paradoxes, especially the educational and socio-cultural functions of paradoxes;
-- Possibility and methodology of teaching a selective course on paradoxes in colleges and universities;
-- And so on.
Finance: No registration fee. The conference will provide three days (October 14-16) accommodation for all registered participants of the conference. We will also provide one additional day of accommodation (October 17) and one day of sightseeing in Beijing for all overseas scholars of the conference.
Submission Guideline: We welcome papers in all themes listed above.
